Who we are

Brad Querl

Brad Studied at the University of Pretoria, obtaining a BSc in Plant Science, a BSc (Hons) in Medicinal Plant Science (Cum Laude) and an MSc in Paraclinical Sciences (Cum Laude). He has a passion for plants and ran a small business growing and selling microgreens during his studies. He was headhunted shortly after graduating his Master’s and has been facilitating and overseeing the establishment of the high density cherry orchards located on Maloney’s Eye Farm. Along with his understanding of plants obtained through his studies, he has gained significant knowledge on cherries from experts in the field, which he has implemented readily in the every day operation of the farm.

Maloney's Eye Farm

A proudly South African farming enterprise situated in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind near Magaliesburg specialising in the production, distribution and sales of the best in class cherry genetics in Southern Africa to local and international markets across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Maloney’s Eye Cherry Farm specialises in the production of low-chill cherry varieties that bears consistently and sets uniformly. The deliciously flavoured sweet red cherries yield high pack-outs with very few doubles and spurs. Our orchards sets very firm fruit on long stems with a low instance of rain cracking and excellent shipping qualities due to our unique climate, terroir, water source and incredibly efficient cold chain and distribution channels.
