Pieter holds a Honours in Geology from RAU. He has been extensively farming stonefruit since 1995 on his Overvaal farm in Rustenburg. He is a director and partner in Cherry Genetics Resources (Pty) Ltd along with ZZ2. Pieter now consults on Maloney’s Eye Cherry Farm to insure that we deliver cherries that are firm, sweet and very precocious.

Mico holds a Masters in Soil Science (MsC Agriculture from Stellenbosch University). As an independent Horticulturist and Soil Scientist at Agrimotion Consulting; Mico guides commercial fruit farmers to optimally manage their land and crops to produce quality yields in a sustainable manner. To be an effective consultant you have to be a holistic consultant. Mico is thus continuously on the lookout for more effective ways to manage soil and fruit crops. It has to be Scientific and Practical.
Prof Strydom was the head of the Hortology Department at Stellenbosch University for over three decades. After his retirement from academia, he now consults for some of the largest fruit producers in South Africa. Amongst others; he consults for Ceres Fruit Growers and the Dutoit Group down in the Cape and has been involved with Cherry Genetics Resources (Pty) Ltd and ZZ2 in northern parts of South Africa. Prof Daan now consults on Maloney’s Eye Cherry Farm to insure that we deliver a product that has all the characteristics of top end fruit that will rival any other cherry produced in Southern Africa.
